וְלָקַח מְלֹא־הַמַּחְתָּה גַּחֲלֵי־אֵשׁ מֵעַל הַמִּזְבֵּחַ מִלִּפְנֵי ה׳ וּמְלֹא חָפְנָיו קְטֹרֶת סַמִּים דַּקָּה וְהֵבִיא מִבֵּית לַפָּרֹכֶת׃ וְנָתַן אֶת־הַקְּטֹרֶת עַל־הָאֵשׁ לִפְנֵי ה׳ וְכִסָּה עֲנַן הַקְּטֹרֶת אֶת־הַכַּפֹּרֶת אֲשֶׁר עַל־הָעֵדוּת וְלֹא יָמוּת׃

And he shall take a censer full of coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the veil. And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the ark-cover that is upon the testimony, that he die not.

Teni
Oro, con capacidad de dos kav y medioMishná / Talmud: Registrado en la Mishná o el Talmud, los textos rabínicos que conservan la práctica y la ley del Templo.

Utensilios de oro y de plata; el Rambam exige metal para todos los utensilios de servicio.

Función

Llevar brasas e incienso; retirar la ceniza del altar interior (teni) y de las lámparas (kuz).

Uso diario y anual

Los llevaban los sacerdotes elegidos por sorteo cada mañana.

En Yom Kipur el Sumo Sacerdote llevaba el brasero y la cuchara al Santo de los Santos.

El sitio no añade aquí lecturas simbólicas.
