ہیکل سے بہتا دریا
וַיְשִׁבֵנִי אֶל־פֶּתַח הַבַּיִת וְהִנֵּה־מַיִם יֹצְאִים מִתַּחַת מִפְתַּן הַבַּיִת קָדִימָה כִּי־פְנֵי הַבַּיִת קָדִים וְהַמַּיִם יֹרְדִים מִתַּחַת מִכֶּתֶף הַבַּיִת הַיְמָנִית מִנֶּגֶב לַמִּזְבֵּחַ׃
And he brought me back unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward, for the forefront of the house looked toward the east; and the waters came down from under, from the right side of the house, on the south of the altar.

تیرنے کے قابل دریا
Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass through; for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed through.

جہاں بھی بہے، زندگی
پانی بحرِ مردار تک پہنچ کر اسے شفا دیتا ہے۔ مچھلیاں لوٹ آتی ہیں۔ دونوں کناروں پر درخت ہیں، ہر مہینے نیا پھل دیتے ہوئے، ان کے پتے شفا کے لیے، ‘کیونکہ اس کا پانی مقدِس سے نکلتا ہے’۔
וְעַל־הַנַּחַל יַעֲלֶה עַל־שְׂפָתוֹ מִזֶּה וּמִזֶּה כָּל־עֵץ־מַאֲכָל לֹא־יִבּוֹל עָלֵהוּ וְלֹא־יִתֹּם פִּרְיוֹ לָחֳדָשָׁיו יְבַכֵּר כִּי מֵימָיו מִן־הַמִּקְדָּשׁ הֵמָּה יוֹצְאִים והיו [וְהָיָה] פִרְיוֹ לְמַאֲכָל וְעָלֵהוּ לִתְרוּפָה׃
And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow every tree for food, whose leaf shall not wither, neither shall the fruit thereof fail; it shall bring forth new fruit every month, because the waters thereof issue out of the sanctuary; and the fruit thereof shall be for food, and the leaf thereof for healing.’ .
زندہ پانی
زکریاہ یروشلم سے نکلتا زندہ پانی دیکھتے ہیں، آدھا مشرقی سمندر کی طرف اور آدھا مغربی کی طرف، گرمی اور سردی میں۔
قربان گاہ پر پانی
سال بھر میں قربان گاہ پر انڈیلا جانے والا واحد پانی سُکّوت پر تھا، شیلوح کے چشمے سے بھرا ہوا۔ قارئین تہوار کے پانی کو مدت سے اس رویا سے جوڑتے آئے ہیں؛ یہ تعلق تعبیری ہے۔
